When Daphne wrote the Oram Saga in the 1960’s she was not told that Arthur and Catherine’s first offspring were twins who were either stillborn or died shortly after birth.
We, Carolyn and Chris noticed that on the 1911 census return Arthur stated that Catherine had given birth to eight children, six of whom had survived. We knew about the six survivors and guessed that the missing two were born in 1882 or 1883 at the beginning of their marriage. Further research has given us the names and date of birth of Anderson and Jane. We hope, in due course to find out when they died.
