The main line of this branch of our Anderson family farmed in the Rochester area near Otterburn, Northumberland. Rochester is on the A68. John 1780-1856 farmed at Birdhope then between the 1851 and 1861 his sons John 1855- and Percival started farming at Blakehopeburnhaugh and/or Blakehopeburnhaugh Hillhead.
