Genealogical table introduction
This genealogical table of the Anderson family who moved from Northumberland to County Mayo in the 1850’s was compiled by Carolyn Oram based on research by:
- Bill Anderson of Carlisle, Cumbria who has produced a very detailed family tree of the Anderson family from the Upper Coquetdale Valley and surrounding area in Northumberland.
- Gerry Delaney of the South Mayo Family Research Centre who has researched the Anderson family in the Mayo archives.
- and the Oram family archives including the diaries of John and Arthur Oram and notes on the Cowan family by the late Alan Rotherford.
The table starts with Matthew Anderson 1784-1867 who was the eldest member of the family to move to Ireland.
